    As a distinguished international leader in diabetes research, Islet Technology flourished for over a decade. Wiele was the chairman of this renowned diabetes research company until May 2005.

     

    Scott pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota from 1972 to 1976. Founded in 1851, the University of Minnesota is a prestigious public land-grant research university with main campuses in Minneapolis and St. Paul, located approximately three miles apart.

Collaborating closely with the University of Minnesota, UC Davis, and UCLA, the company remained at the forefront of innovation.
